Sourdough Tours is locally owned and operated by Rick Thomas. As a lifelong Ketchikan resident Rick is very familiar with Ketchikan's history, native culture, local sights and wildlife. He will make sure you see the Ketchikan he knows and loves.
Ketchikan is on the Western coast of Revillagigedo Island, 680 air miles north of Seattle. It is accessible only by boat or aircraft. The population of the Ketchikan Gateway Borough is 14,000. Our primary economy is based on timber harvesting, fishing, tourism.
The fishing industry is supported by four canneries, three cold storage facilities and a fish processing plant. Cruise ships carrying over 1,000,000 visitors make more than 435 stops in Ketchikan.
